Bourbon coffee varietal is the most famous of the Bourbon-descended varieties. It is a tall variety characterized by relatively low production, susceptibility to the major diseases, and excellent cup quality.
Today in Latin America, Bourbon coffee varietal itself has largely been replaced by varieties that descend from it (notably including Caturra, Catuai, and Mundo Novo), although Bourbon itself it is still cultivated in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru and Panama at my friend’s coffee farm in Chiriqui at Finca Don Vicente.
All sales of coffee accessories go back to coffee farmers and producers in Latin America. Money goes back to the purchase of coffee directly from farmers and producers. 100% Direct Trade. Thank you for your help.
